Super Swinger -- Hargrove Slams 5 Hits Friday, August 30th , 2047 A jubilant Bob Hargrove joined the postgame press conference at Experimental Stadium today to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Toledo Saboteurs pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs shortstop, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led the Guinea Pigs to a 12-5 win. "He made it look easy," said Will Thomas, manager of the Saboteurs. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Bob Hargrove hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Yuan Thian in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
