Jim Hanson Strokes 3 Home Runs Monday, July 29th , 2047 Jim Hanson went on an explosive hitting spree against the Marquette Miners at Ballpark of Tacoma today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Tacoma Fur Traders to the 12-8 win. The first baseman finished 4-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 7 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Hanson said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Marquette skipper Billy Strauss said Hanson was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Jim Hanson singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jorge Castillo in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Gianlorenzo Albertini in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Gianlorenzo Albertini in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. This year Hanson is batting .246 with 6 home runs and 19 RBIs. In 39 games he has scored 26 times. |
