Valdéz Red-Hot, SAA Player of the Week Monday, July 29th , 2047 So far in his young career, Leonardo Valdéz has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Double A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 25-year-old Barton Springs Blues second baseman hit at a torrid .571 clip as he collected 8 hits in 14 at-bats, 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Valdéz is swinging at a .308 pace on the year with 8 home runs, 17 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has played in 31 games. |
