Bad Behavior Costs Daisen and Martínez
Tuesday, June 4th , 2047
If there wasn't a history between Yosuke Daisen of Akron and Raúl Martínez of Ottawa, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 8 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Daisen said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
Thus far this year Daisen is batting .371 with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
So far this year Martínez has made 7 starts, tossed 38 innings, struck out 24 batters and walked 10. His record is 3-2 with a 4.03 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .267 batting average.
