Highlanders Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Saturday, August 24th , 2047 Only the most die-hard fans thought the Asheville Highlanders still had any chance at making the playoffs this season, but now even those hopes are dashed. The team was officially eliminated from postseason contention today. Asheville last appeared in the postseason in 2038. This is their 8th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 18 times in their 20 - year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Highlanders have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
