Martín Pliego Rockets 3 Home Runs Saturday, August 31st , 2047 Kansas Rainbeaus right fielder Martín Pliego had a magnificent game against the Hialeah Dodos today, rocketing three balls out of Dodos Ballpark to help the Rainbeaus take the 15-2 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Pliego went 4-for-5 with 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Kansas manager Rafael Herrera said later. "Seems like Martín found his home run stroke today." Martín Pliego hit a two-run home run off Gavriil Wolfson in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Mark Taylor in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Mark Taylor in the 8th and singled in the 9th. |
