McLean and Santingo Suspended for Free-for-All
Monday, August 19th , 2047
After an intense confrontation, both the Dodos George McLean and the Monsters Ángel Santingo were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Hialeah-Monongahela game. George McLean will miss 4 games, while Ángel Santingo was suspended for 6 games.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," George McLean commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
So far this season McLean has 21 home runs and a .327 batting average.
Up to now Santingo has recorded a record of 5-5. In 12 starts he has fanned 42 batters in 65 innings with a 3.46 ERA.
