SAAA Player of the Week, Gómez of Ellenburg Monday, August 5th , 2047 So far in his young career, Roberto Gómez has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Triple A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 21-year-old Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds center fielder hit at a torrid .474 clip as he collected 9 hits in 19 at-bats, 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. This year Gómez is batting .298 with 86 hits, 11 home runs, 59 RBIs, 23 walks, .356 OBP and has scored 49 runs. |
