Injury Sidelines Rick Kirkham For Year Tuesday, September 17th , 2047 The season is finished for Rick Kirkham of the Charleston Battery. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Battery right fielder suffered a ruptured achilles tendon while running the bases in a recent game against the Nashville Outlaws. Team doctors said it would take at least 4-5 months to heal. Kirkham is batting .351 this year with 6 home runs, 27 RBIs and 35 runs scored. He has 86 hits in 245 at-bats. |
