Haines Tosses Shutout Against Detroit Friday, September 13th , 2047 Paul Haines kept the Detroit Elite hitters from doing any damage at Baltimore Grounds today. Detroit could only muster 1 hit and take no walks against the left-handed Haines, who controlled them throughout the game as Baltimore took the contest, 4-0. Haines added 5 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Haines told reporters after the shutout win.
