Vandals Ramón Cervantes Wins PA Award Monday, September 2nd , 2047 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the USPL Single A, but last week Ramón Cervantes of the Eugene Vandals reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Cervantes rocked opposing pitching for a .667 average (10-for-15), 1 home run and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. In 91 games Cervantes is hitting .292 this season with 101 hits, 16 home runs, 56 RBIs, 30 walks, .349 OBP and has scored 50 runs. |
