PA Trophy Goes to Long of Myrtle Beach Monday, August 5th , 2047 Jonathan Long demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the USPL Single A Player of the Week Award. The Myrtle Beach shortstop wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .409 average (9-for-22) with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. In his stats this season, Long has posted a batting average of .201 with 57 hits in 283 at-bats, 11 home runs and 43 RBIs. He has also scored 31 runs, walked 19 times and compiled a .257 OBP. |
