Grand Forks second baseman Paul Hutchins thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Grand Forks to a 16-0 win over Pontiac. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Hutchins said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Hutchins was 4-for-4 on the day with 7 RBI. Paul Hutchins hit a two-run home run off Justin Rochefort in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Justin Rochefort in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Connor Beresford in the 6th, walked in the 8th and walked in the 9th. This year Hutchins is hitting .329 with 3 home runs and 14 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .419 clip and scored 12 runs. |
