Mays Hurls No-Hitter Against Mangos Thursday, July 4th , 2047 Columbia River Rats starter Scotty Mays was unhittable today at Mango Yard. Mays beat the Kingston Mangos 5-0, breezing through the Mangos lineup en route to a no-hitter. "I thought Scotty started off a little slow and was struggling with his command at first," River Rats manager Allen Davis said later. "He lucked his way through the early innings, and they helped him out by not being patient. Eventually, it all came together for him, and from there on the Mangos never had a chance. He dominated them." Mays struck out 8 batters and issued 3 walks in the performance. On his stats sheet for the year Mays shows a 2-6 record, 11 starts, 64 innings, 48 strikeouts and a 4.64 ERA.
