Red-Hot Bacon Scorches Lighthouse
Friday, September 20th , 2047
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Northern Virginia's 15-4 win over Long Island today, third baseman Chris P. Bacon was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Atlantica.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Bacon said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Chris P. Bacon singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Emery Manhoran in the 8th.
This season Bacon is batting .353 with 10 home runs. He has scored 22 runs and driven in 28.
