Connelly Powers Elite to 13-5 Win
The Detroit Elite topped the Toledo Stingers, 13-5, with center fielder Tom Connelly playing a big role. Connelly went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for the Elite in the win. Detroit is 5th in the Silver League with a record of 41-42.

Connelly contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Detroit in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 4-2, Connelly took a fastball from Stu Riley and stroked the home run to left-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Elite to leap in front, 6-4.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Connelly said.
