Parra Blasts Rainbow Mermaids, Patriots Take Game 3, 6-5
The Boston Patriots moved to within one game of the Tournament of Champions today, downing the visiting Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Dunkin Donuts Park by a score of 6-5. Patriots left fielder Tony Parra did some major damage. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The win gives the Patriots a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 ToC Semi-Finals.

Tim Wright aided the Boston cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the center fielder was 1-2 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Wright.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Dunkin Donuts Park in Boston.
