Home Field Advantage: Yepes, Boston Open ToC First Round with Win
|
The Boston Patriots started the ToC First Round in style today, downing the visiting Buffalo White Walkers at Dunkin Donuts Park by a score of 4-1 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Patriots catcher Thiago Yepes was 2 for 4 with a triple.
Yepes came through for Boston with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the second. He hit a 2-2 forkball to center field, staking his team to a 1-0 lead.
Yepes called the win "a team effort."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Dunkin Donuts Park in Boston.
