Mockingbirds Hammered by Lacasa, Fall Further Behind in R1
When the games really matter, the Hollywood Shredders put on their best show, beating the Mississippi Mockingbirds by a final score of 4-3 today. Lautaro Lacasa went 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times. Hollywood now leads Mississippi 2-0 in the best-of-5 affair.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Hollywood left fielder Rubén Nuañez, facing Randy Smith, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Shredders the 4-3 win.

"This place sure got loud," said Bill Cheese, the Hollywood manager.

Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at Magnolia Park in Jackson.
