Baby Lakers Even With Puffer Fish After Home Win
|
Behind a bravura effort from starter George Hensley, the Bompton Baby Lakers topped the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish by the score of 4-3 today and got their first win in the 2047 SL R Championship. Hensley threw 5.0 innings allowing 2 runs for the Baby Lakers. The win moves Bompton into a 1-1 tie with Plattsburgh.
Rommel Tomas, the Bompton first baseman, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 3-1, Baby Lakers. For the game, Tomas went 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Hensley said.
The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, September 11th , 2047 at Plattsburgh Park in Plattsburgh.
