Raucous The Shell Crowd Propels Hermit Crabs to 3-0 Victory; Series Tied at 1

Behind a bravura effort from starter Alan Gilbert, the Huntington Hermit Crabs topped the Delmarva Gallos by the score of 3-0 today and got their first win in the 2047 SL A Championship. Gilbert threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the Hermit Crabs. The win moves Huntington into a 1-1 tie with Delmarva.
Gilbert allowed no runs over 8 innings. He also racked up 7 strikeouts.
Gilbert said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at The Cage in Salisbury.
