Shockers Deal Cajuns 3-0 Loss
|
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Crowley Cajuns take on the Surprise Shockers.
Starting pitcher Brad Duncan was a major factor in the 3-0 Surprise Shockers triumph over the Crowley Cajuns. Waleliano Girawheen notched his 2nd save in 2 chances.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Takechi Estribera? The Surprise first baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Shockers on top, 1-0. For the game, Estribera had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Surprise manager John Walls.
The Shockers improved to 47-43.
