Hounds Deal Warheads 2-1 Loss
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Hicksville Hounds and the Amarillo Warheads. Hicksville won it, 2-1. Hicksville starter Shigetoki Kato was in command. At 52-36, the Hounds claim 4th place in the Menard's R.
Hicksville used the timely hitting of Lyndon Cannon to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Hounds on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I was a little disappointed," said Amarillo manager Juan Díaz. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
