Beavers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Ballard Beavers had to overcome a fine performance from Maine pitcher Clemenz Lawrence to grab a 3-2 win at The Beaver Dam. Lawrence allowed 1 run over 7.1 innings. Edgardo González snagged the win in relief. In 2.2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits. He's now 1-0 on the season. The win puts Ballard at 27-43.
The Beavers procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Yin-reng Loong. In the bottom of the 20th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Vincent Hall.
