The Ballard Beavers wiggled past the Franklin Fire, 6-5, at The Beaver Dam. The win was highlighted by the performance of Ballard pitcher Kevin Rietmulder. Miguel Velázquez earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 2-0. Ballard won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Sergio Vázquez on the mound for Franklin, shortstop António Sáenz hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Beavers fans to their feet.
