The Bompton Baby Lakers topped the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 7-2, with center fielder Jon Griffin playing a big role. Griffin went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Baby Lakers in the win. José Vargas earned the save for Bompton, his 4th. The first-place Baby Lakers, at 70-24, now lead their division by 11 games.

Griffin had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-1 slider from Gabriel Hernández, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Baby Lakers a 3-2 lead. It was the 30th home run of the year for Griffin.
