The Crossbeaus grabbed a win, 9-4, at Dylan Park, overcoming a fine effort from Quebec City pitcher Rick Drake. Drake went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. At 56-33, the Crossbeaus find themselves in second place in the Silver R.
The most important at-bat for Beaumont came in the top of the ninth inning. With no one out, Kick Elsenaar reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run, putting Beaumont up, 4-3.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Steve Ferguson said.
