Bethune Hits for the Cycle
Rupert Bethune accomplished one of the rarer feats in baseball today when he hit for the cycle against the San Mateo Dirty Reds in the 11-1 Montana Pandas win at Panda Park.

Afterward, Bethune acknowledged that his accomplishment was special, but said he was more interested in helping the Pandas win.

"Maybe one day I'll look back on this with more meaning, but right now I just want to go out tomorrow and put some good swings on the ball and help my club win another game," Bethune said.

On his historic day, he went 4-for-5 with 2 runs batted in and 3 runs scored -- and also got a spot in the history books.

Rupert Bethune tripled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ronald Fritz in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.

This year Bethune has 2 home runs and a .270 batting average.
