Plattsburgh Puffer Fish starter George Flynn turned in a sterling performance against the Quebec City Baby Blues, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Plattsburgh pitcher José Marquis got the win. He's now 3-4. Cedric Campos was tagged with the loss. At 51-33, the Puffer Fish find themselves in 4th place in the Silver R.
The game was at a stalemate until catcher Robinson Quiñones came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Quebec City pitcher Cedric Campos, he hit a 2-2 cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Plattsburgh on top, 3-2.
After the game, Plattsburgh manager John Sirica applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
