Baby Lakers Walk It Off for 60th Win of Season

The Bompton Baby Lakers did just enough to secure a victory over the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 3-2, at Field of the Browns. Nobody did more than pitcher Lee Fortescue. The Baby Lakers lead the Silver R by 10 games.
In the bottom of the ninth, Gustavo Satiro had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring sacrifice fly to left off Beaumont pitcher Ka-pa Fok.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Bompton manager Pat Carrasco.
