Franklin and Surprise duked it out and the Fire came out victorious.

Franklin rode a decent outing from starter Peter Boxsell to victory over the Surprise Shockers. The final score was 6-4. The Fire now have a record of 7-21.

Franklin took a 4-1 lead on Greg Smith's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Surprise pitcher Timmo de Jonge in the bottom of the seventh.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Boxsell told the Franklin Today.
