The D.C. Divided got a sterling performance from pitcher Bill Slaughter, but the Colorado Billy Goats still prevailed, 4-1. Slaughter threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. Colorado starter Tommaso Cugnoni was credited with the win after throwing 101 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 3-3. With the win, Colorado raised its record to 22-21.

Colorado used the timely hitting of Zhong-yan Zhang to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Billy Goats on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Zhang told a Colorado Herald reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
