Zoomies Knock Off Beavers at Terriers Ballpark
|
The Shady Side Zoomies topped the Northwest Territory Beavers, 4-2, with designated hitter Jacob James playing a big role. James went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Zoomies in the win. James Allingham, now 2-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. Nelson Shaffer earned the save, his 8th.
Jov Shantsev was one of the major contributors to the win for Shady Side. The light-hitting first baseman stroked a single to center in the bottom of the sixth inning. For the day, he was 1-4.
"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," James said.
The victory makes Shady Side 23-46.
