Baby Blues Get One-Run Win at Northwest Territory
Quebec City Baby Blues starter Jim McKee was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Northwest Territory Beavers, 7-6. McKee went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-7. Cedric Campos, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save.

The Beavers had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Baby Blues going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 18-year old third baseman Iván Vega came to the plate. Vega hit a 2-run triple on a 0-1 fastball from Northwest Territory hurler Ricardo Aguirre. It was Vega's 3rd triple of the year.

"It feels good to get this one," McKee told the Quebec City News.

Quebec City, with the win, sits at 18-34.
