Beaumont Beats Quebec City, 7-3
|
Beaumont starter Douggie Westcott had a strong outing against the Quebec City Baby Blues at Dylan Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. Ka-pa Fok earned the save for Beaumont, his 1st of the year. The win puts Beaumont at 29-19 this season.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for David Bailey? The Beaumont left fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Crossbeaus on top, 1-0. For the game, Bailey had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Westcott told the Beaumont Herald.
