5-Hit Game for Kim
|
No matter what the Northwest Territory Beavers threw at him today, Hye-yeon Kim hit it. He easily handled Beavers pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Puffer Fish to a 17-1 triumph at Beaver Town.
"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
Told of Kim's quip, Beavers skipper Melvin Henry said he "would take him up on that next time."
Hye-yeon Kim hit a two-run single in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Liu-chun Feng in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Al Jones in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Manny Rojas in the 9th.
Thus far this season in 30 games Kim is batting .283 with 9 home runs, 28 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 26 hits in 92 at-bats.
