The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish topped the Flint Crush, 8-5, in USSL Rookie action at Flint Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Plattsburgh left fielder Mike Baxter. Picking up the save was José Marquis, his 5th. The 8th-place Crush have dropped 4 straight games.

It could have been a different outcome for Plattsburgh, had it not been for Errol Rachinsky, the 21-year old right fielder . Rachinsky contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Plattsburgh up, 5-2.

In comments to the Plattsburgh News, Rachinsky admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
