Brown Excels, But Puffer Fish Win
The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish overcame a good performance by Capital Hill right fielder Trent Brown to knock off Capital Hill, 9-8, at Alouettes Ballpark. Brown went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 5. Plattsburgh pitcher Gabriel Hernández got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dawson Adams got the loss. Plattsburgh, now 14-8, holds down third place in the Silver R.

Plattsburgh used the timely hitting of Ahti Riikonen to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Puffer Fish ahead, 9-8. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Riikonen told the Plattsburgh News.
