6-3 Loss to Octopi Extends Germantown Losing Streak
|
The Ogallala Octopi beat the Germantown Uruguayans, 6-3, at Nebraska Aquarium. The win was due in part to first baseman Merrill Brosseau, who was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Kung Yei, credited with the win, is now 3-2. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits. The losing skid has reached 6 games for Germantown.
Pedro Palgon had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Ogallala third baseman hit a run-scoring single. That put the Octopi in front, 6-3.
"It feels good to get this one," Palgon told the Ogallala Daily.
