The Toledo Stingers did just enough to secure a victory over the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 3-2, at Pacesetter Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Stu Riley. Toledo, at 13-17, holds down 7th place in the Silver League.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the tenth, with Toledo trailing 2-1, Lester Threlfall hit a changeup from Gustaf Steur for a 2-run home run, giving the Stingers the walk-off win.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Riley. "I like it."
