Kennesaw and South Beach duked it out and the Jets came out victorious.

The Kennesaw Jets had to overcome a good performance from South Beach pitcher Jorge Enríquez to claim a 3-1 win at The Ballpark on the Beach. Enríquez went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Francisco Souza, now 5-4, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings.

Kennesaw used the clutch hitting of Curt Scott to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Jets ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Scott told the Kennesaw Times.

With the win, the Jets have a record of 40-54.
