Eugene took on Levittown in front of a lively crowd.

The Eugene Vandals put together a convincing win at The Cave at Levittown, defeating the Levittown Blue Dragons, 15-2. Ramón Cervantes was one of the hitting stars. He went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for Eugene. Mike Wheeler, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-3. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 3 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 4.

Cervantes made an early impact for Eugene when he stroked his 15th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the top of the third, put the Vandals on top, 11-0.

"We played hard and won," said Cervantes. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'

Eugene is now 46-41, Levittown 36-51.
