The South Beach Blaze beat the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 4-3, at Seahwaks Stadium. The win was due in part to center fielder Pedro Figoroa, who went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs. The Blaze improved to a lofty 62-25.

South Beach used the timely hitting of Emílio Fuentes to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blaze on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I still think this team can play even better," Figoroa told the South Beach Daily News.
