The Eugene Vandals faced a tough opponent in Levittown pitcher Carl Rogers, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Cave at Levittown by a final score of 1-0. Rogers went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Pedro Pérez earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 6-2. Picking up the save was David Dotson. He's now 11 for 12 in save chances.

Eugene used a clutch hit from Ramón Cervantes to snatch the win. The left fielder belted a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Vandals ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Cervantes told the Eugene Today.
