Nova Scotia and Hollywood duked it out and the Leviathan came out victorious.

Nova Scotia starter Max van Capelleveen put a stranglehold on the Hollywood offense. The right-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Leviathan to a 3-1 win. In 8.1 innings, van Capelleveen surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Carlos Rodríguez earned save number 3 this season.

Datu Lesaca, the two-time Gold Glove winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Lesaca contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Nova Scotia up, 3-0.

Lesaca called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."

The loss drops Hollywood to 5-8.
