D.C. pitcher Bill Slaughter did his part in helping his team beat the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 7-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Divided go to 8-14 with the win.

Francisco Alhama had a critical at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the seventh for D.C.. He came through with a 2-run single to put D.C. in front, 3-0.
