Vandals Suffer 5-1 Loss to Chukars
|
Behind an impressive start by Miguel González, Idaho Falls beat Eugene, 5-1. González went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 2-0. The Chukars go to 34-33, putting them 4th in the Premier A.
Jeffrey Lewis dealt the Vandals a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Idaho Falls leading 2-1, Lewis hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.
Lewis told a Idaho Falls Gazette reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
