Gallos Get 8-1 Win Versus Yucca Valley
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Yucca Valley Yellows and Delmarva Gallos get after it.
Delmarva used a superb performance from starting pitcher Chris Small to down the Yucca Valley Yellows, 8-1. Small, the winner, moves to 3-2. He threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 4 walks.
The Gallos grabbed the lead in the bottom of the second. With two out, Todd Gallagher hit a 2-run home run off Sun-ho Yang, putting Delmarva in front, 4-0. For Gallagher, it was his 8th home run of the season.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Small. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
With the win, Delmarva upped its record to 58-38.
