Yellows Come Up Short at Delmarva, 3-2
|
Delmarva rode a decent outing from starter Kevin Brown to victory over the Yucca Valley Yellows. The final score was 3-2. Brown got the win, improving to 9-4. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Brown allowed 2 runs. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Delmarva.
The Gallos got a big hit from left fielder Keith Atkins. In the bottom of the fifth, Atkins pounded a 2-run home run to right. His 12th home run of the season put the Gallos ahead, 3-2.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Yucca Valley manager Santiago Rigney.
