Guerrero Now 3-9 After Subduing Caterpillars

The Monroeville Yinzers topped the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 4-1, in USSL Single A action at The Cocoon. The game was highlighted by the performance of Monroeville pitcher Diego Guerrero. Gerald Currer was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 6 save opportunities. The win puts Monroeville at 32-55.
Guerrero made it look effortless. He scattered 3 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The Monroeville right-hander encountered little resistance from the Grand Forks hitters. His season record is now 3-9.
"It was a solid team effort," Guerrero said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
